The amazing story of the creation of woman

Why was woman created from clay?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Back when there was no sign of humans in this world, everything was silent. There were no animals, no trace of life anywhere. Then one day, Allah, the Lord of all worlds, commanded all His angels to gather near His magnificent throne.

At Allah’s command, countless angels, shining like lights, appeared. Then Allah said, “I want to send one of My representatives to the earth.”

Hearing this, the angels were surprised. Their…

There were questions on their foreheads and wonder stirred in their hearts. They politely asked, “O our Lord, do You really want to send such a creature to earth who will cause chaos and shed blood? We are always busy praising and worshipping You. So why is there a need to appoint a new leader?” Hearing this, Allah, the Lord of all worlds, said, “O my angels, I know what you do not know. Only I know who will worship Me and who will disobey. I didn’t ask for your advice, I was just informing you.” Hearing this, the angels’ hearts trembled. They…

He realized his mistake and immediately repented, falling prostrate and asking Allah for forgiveness. Then Allah called His four great angels—Jibra’il, Mika’il, Israfil, and Izrail (peace be upon them). As soon as the command was given, they all appeared. Allah first ordered Jibra’il (peace be upon him), “O Jibra’il, go to the earth and bring me handfuls from there, from which I will create my Khalifa.” Jibra’il came down to the earth and began to scoop up handfuls. But the handful started crying and pleading, “O Jibra’il, where are you taking me?” Jibra’il replied, “…”

I’m taking you to Allah. He will create a being from you who will be His representative on Earth. Hearing this, Mutthi started crying even harder and said, “Please don’t take me. The humans born from me will disobey Allah. When Allah’s punishment comes down, I will be in their bodies too. I will have to endure that punishment, and I don’t have the strength to bear Allah’s wrath. Please ask Allah to forgive me on my behalf.” Hearing Mutthi’s painful plea, Hazrat Jibra’il (peace be upon him) returned empty-handed.

He came and told Allah everything that had happened. Then Allah sent Hazrat Mikail (peace be upon him). He also came down to earth. But the fist cried out in pain again, and Mikail (peace be upon him) returned empty-handed. Then Hazrat Israel (peace be upon him) also came down to earth. But hearing the fist’s sigh, his heart melted too, and he went back without lifting the fist. So, all three angels returned empty-handed. Finally, Allah, the Lord of the worlds, sent Hazrat Israel (peace be upon him) to the earth. When he arrived, the fist pleaded again and said, “O Israel, please don’t take me away.”

Just leave me here. But Israel (peace be upon him) said, “Oh Muthi, I can’t go back on my word to you. I’ve received Allah’s command, and I will never go against my Lord’s order.” Saying this, he raised his hand and appeared before Allah’s court. Allah, pleased, said, “Oh Israel, because you have fulfilled My command, I am giving you a special responsibility—the duty to take possession of human souls.” Israel (peace be upon him) replied, “Oh Allah, when I take possession of human souls, their families will hate me and blame me…”

He said, “Don’t worry.” Allah Almighty said, “I will create different reasons for every death. Some will leave due to illness, some because of accidents, and some from old age. People won’t blame you.” Hearing this, Israel felt relieved. Then, by Allah’s command, the angels placed this clay on a hill near Makkah. The clay got soaked by the rain and dried under the sun, and many years passed like this. Finally, by Allah’s power, a statue of Hazrat Adam was made from that clay. Allah ordered the angels to take it to paradise.

The angels respectfully followed the command and placed Adam’s blessed body in paradise. That body stayed there for a long time—lifeless and soulless. The angels would come close and say, “This is the body. This will be Allah’s representative on Earth.” But Azrael, the leader of the angels who hadn’t become Satan yet, always laughed, teased, and mocked Adam’s body. And since he was the leader, no angel dared to say anything to him. Then Allah, the Lord of all worlds, sent His four great angels—Hazrat Jibrael, Hazrat Mikail, Hazrat Israfil…

And he called Hazrat Izrail and said, “O my angels, go to the highest heaven and bring back the soul of Adam, then place it into his body.” Following Allah’s command, the four angels set off towards the highest heaven. They placed Adam’s blessed soul in a radiant cup adorned with precious diamonds and jewels, and respectfully brought it to his body. At that moment, all the angels in the sky rejoiced with happiness. Light spread everywhere. Everyone participated in this sacred moment. But Azrael, who later became Iblis, was not pleased with Allah’s decision.

A spark of arrogance started to ignite in his heart. Then Allah Almighty commanded, “O Adam, now let the soul enter your body.” At that very moment, Adam’s soul was breathed into his blessed body. As soon as the soul touched the body, life surged through his limbs. His eyes opened, his hands and feet began to move, and his body came alive. Slowly, he sat up, and the first word that came from his lips was, “Alhamdulillah.” Hearing this kalima, Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, was very pleased. As a gesture of gratitude for receiving this first blessing, Adam (peace be upon him) offered two units of prayer (rakat). When his prayer was completed, Heere…

A beautiful throne decorated with jewels, gold, and silver was brought. By Allah’s command, Adam (peace be upon him) sat on that throne. Angels all around bowed with respect and love. Then Allah said, “O my angels, honor Adam and prostrate to him.” At Allah’s command, millions of angels fell into prostration, and light spread everywhere. When everyone lifted their heads from prostration, only Iblis was standing. Everyone else had already prostrated to Adam (peace be upon him). Hatred and arrogance were clearly visible on Iblis’s face. Allah looked at him and said,

Hey Izzail, why didn’t you obey my command? Izzail replied arrogantly, saying, “You made Adam from clay and me from fire. Fire’s nature is to rise, and clay’s nature is to fall. So if anyone deserves to be bowed to, it should be me, not Adam.” Hearing this, Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, was furious. Allah said, “You disobedient one, get out of here. You didn’t follow my command. From this moment on, you are forever cursed and disgraced.” And just like that, the one who was once the leader of the angels became Iblis and Satan, cursed and cast out from paradise.

When he was expelled, he started crying and pleading, “Oh Allah, I have worshipped You for so many years. I taught the angels to serve You. I want to ask for something out of Your mercy. Please accept my request.” Allah asked, “What do you want?” The devil said, “Oh Allah, grant me life until the Day of Judgment.” Allah replied, “Alright, you are granted life until the Day of Judgment.” Then the devil said, “Oh Lord, give me the power to enter into the bodies and veins of the children of Adam, because of whom I was expelled today.” Allah said, “You are granted that power too.”

Listen, you can mislead my people, pull them towards sin. But if any of my people truly repent, I will forgive all their sins, and my special ones will never be reached [music]. Then Allah cursed him and expelled him from Paradise. After that, by Allah’s command, Prophet Adam’s throne was taken to Jannatul Firdaus. There, Adam was given complete freedom to enjoy all the blessings of Paradise—he could roam, eat, drink—but his heart wasn’t drawn to anything. He would sit alone in worship, and…

His face was deeply sad. When Allah saw Adam’s condition, He sent Angel Gabriel to him. Gabriel came, smiled, and said, “Hey Adam, how do you find Paradise?” Adam replied, “Gabriel, everything here is wonderful—peaceful, full of blessings, everything praiseworthy—but there’s this emptiness in my heart that I can’t even explain.” Gabriel smiled and said, “I know, Adam. Allah sent me for this reason. Don’t worry, very soon this emptiness will be filled.”

Saying this, he turned to leave. Then, the next day, just before the Fajr call to prayer, when Adam (peace be upon him) was still deep in sleep, Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to him by Allah’s command. With great respect, Gabriel took out a bone from Adam’s left rib. He covered it with flesh and skin, then breathed a radiant breath into it. And just like that, a new creation began. The bone instantly filled with light, and within moments, it took the form of a beautiful woman whose face shone with such brightness, it was as if all of paradise was glowing from her. Gabriel smiled and said to Adam…

Gabriel came close and softly said, “Hey Adam, wake up.” Adam woke up, looked ahead, and was amazed. Standing before him was a pure, radiant, and comforting presence, whose face shone brighter than the moon. Her eyes sparkled with mercy and peace. Seeing her filled the heart with love and calm. Adam couldn’t stop staring. Then Gabriel said, “Adam, this is your companion, your life partner, Lady Eve.” Hearing this, a smile spread across Adam’s face, filling the emptiness in his heart that had been there for so long, all in an instant.

A wave of happiness washed over him, a kind of joy that words just can’t describe. According to Islamic tradition and scholars, there are many wise reasons why a woman is created from a man’s rib. It’s not about weakness or being lesser; rather, it’s a sign of love, closeness, and mercy.

The first reason is that the rib is close to the heart, indicating that a woman should be kept close with love and respect. The second reason is that the rib protects the delicate parts of the body. Similarly, a woman protects the home and family with peace and mercy.

A rib is formed. The third wisdom is that ribs are soft and flexible. Similarly, a woman’s nature is based on softness, flexibility, and love, so she can take care of raising children and managing relationships better. The fourth wisdom is that a woman being created from a man’s rib shows their natural and essential connection. Men and women complete each other. And the fifth point is that this creation isn’t about superiority or weakness, but about completion, love, and mutual need. According to Islam, neither man is superior to woman, nor woman to man—they are equal.

No one is complete without the other. In the commentaries, it is mentioned that among all the women in the world, the one Allah gave the most beauty to was Lady Hawwa (peace be upon her), the wife of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him). Prophet Adam kept looking at her for a long time, continuously thanking Allah. Gradually, he started moving closer to her. But then Angel Jibra’il (Gabriel) stopped him respectfully and said, “O Adam, you cannot approach her without marriage. First, pray to your Lord for the blessing of marriage.” Prophet Adam lowered his head and did exactly as Angel Jibra’il instructed. He prayed to Allah for Lady Hawwa…

With greetings, a prayer was made for the marriage. Allah accepted the prayer and said, “O Adam, I have completed your marriage with Eve. Now you should give her the bridal gift (mahr).” Adam asked, “O my Lord, what is mahr?” Allah replied, “O Adam, your marriage gift is to send blessings upon my beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) several times.” Adam’s heart filled with love. He bowed his head and said, “At your service, my Lord.” Then, with full sincerity, he sent many blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him).

He recited Darood. And so, the first and purest marriage of humanity was completed. Allah Almighty allowed Prophet Adam and Hawwa (peace be upon them) to live happily and peacefully in Paradise, and He said, “O Adam, listen, all the blessings of Paradise are for both of you. Eat and drink whatever you want, and enjoy the mercy, but do not go near this one tree and never eat its fruit.” According to interpretations, it was the tree of wheat. Adam and Hawwa (peace be upon them) started living in Paradise with love and peace. There were blessings everywhere and the shade of mercy all around. But meanwhile, Satan was expelled from Paradise.

He had already left. Sitting outside, he kept thinking about how to ruin Adam and Eve. He remembered his old knowledge and tricks. He recited the prayers and performed the rituals that could get him close to the gates of paradise. Finally, his efforts paid off. He reached the gates of heaven. There, he saw a light sitting on the wall. The light looked at him and asked, “Who are you?” Satan said, “I’m an angel.” The light asked, “What do you want here?” Satan cleverly replied, “I want to enter paradise.” The light responded, “Prophet Adam, peace be upon him.”

He’s right here, so no one else is allowed inside. The devil smiled slyly and said, “Brother Moor, have mercy on me. If you help me, I’ll teach you prayers that, once recited, will keep you forever young, never dying, and never kicked out of heaven.” Moor hesitated and pulled back, but the devil started working his sweet voice on him. There was such magic in his voice that Moor’s heart melted, and he agreed. Moor took him to the gates of heaven, where a huge snake was standing guard. Moor told the snake everything, and the snake then…

I asked, “So who are you?” The devil immediately said, “I’m an angel. I used to live beneath the highest heaven. There, I learned a prayer that, if recited, fulfills every wish.” A greedy gleam appeared in the snake’s eyes, and it said, “Teach me that prayer too.” The devil smiled and said, “Sure, I’ll teach you, but there’s one condition.” The snake asked, “What condition?” The devil said, “The condition is that you have to take me inside paradise.” The snake took a deep breath and said, “As long as Adam and Eve are around, no one is allowed inside. That’s impossible.” But the devil’s trickery wasn’t over yet.

He was about to pull off a move that would change the whole story of humanity. Looking the snake straight in the eyes, he cleverly said, “If you want, I can enter your mind. That way, you’ll live in paradise too, and Allah’s command won’t be broken.” The snake thought it over and liked the argument. It opened its mind, and the devil entered it. Then the devil said, “Hey snake, now take me to wife Eve, peace be upon her.” The snake bowed its head and slithered through the blessings of paradise, carrying the devil inside it, all the way to wife Eve, peace be upon her.

He arrived there. As soon as he got there, the devil suddenly started crying and screaming. His sobs were so loud that even the angels and jinn gathered around. Lady Hawwa (peace be upon her) asked, surprised, “Hey stranger, why are you crying?” The devil, pretending to be innocent, said, “I’m crying because I’m thinking about your fate.” Hearing this, Lady Hawwa (peace be upon her) was shocked and asked, “Our fate? What’s going to happen?” The devil replied, “Allah Almighty will soon kick you and your husband, Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), out of Paradise and send you down to Earth. I saw this written on the Throne of Glory, and that’s why I’m crying.”

Lady Hawwa Al Salam’s face showed worry, and she gently asked, “How can I be sure that what you’re saying is true?” The devil quickly strengthened his lie and said, “If I’m lying, may Allah and all the angels curse me.” Swearing by Allah’s name, his words began to soften Lady Hawwa Al Salam’s heart. In a shy voice, she asked, “If this is true, is there any way to avoid being sent down to Earth? Any way we can stay here forever? I will definitely agree. Just tell me what that way is.” The devil…

He finally revealed his move and said, “Look, that tree over there—the one you were told not to go near—if you eat its fruit, you’ll live in paradise forever. You’ll never be kicked out of here.” For a moment, Eve (peace be upon her) had a thought: could it really be that Satan was telling the truth? He added, strengthening his point, “But if you don’t eat that fruit, soon both of you will be sent down to Earth, forever.” Satan’s words sank deep into her heart, and lost in thought, she started walking toward that wheat tree. When she got close, she picked a fruit. Some…

She glanced at it for a moment and then took a bite. The fruit was sweet. But as soon as they ate it, the heavenly breeze stopped. Then she took half of the fruit and went to Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) and gently said, “Hey Adam, you should eat this too.” Adam (peace be upon him) innocently agreed and ate the fruit. In that very moment, the radiant garments of paradise fell off their bodies. The subtle fragrance that surrounded them disappeared too. Shadows of shame, fear, and regret appeared in their eyes. Both realized their mistake, and their hearts were filled with the ache of repentance. Allah, the Lord of all worlds, did not approve of this act.

God came and commanded the angels, “Send Adam and Eve down from Paradise.” As soon as the order was given, the angel Gabriel, peace be upon him, appeared with the other angels and took Adam and Eve out of Paradise, placing them on Earth. Silence fell over the gardens of Paradise. The very first man and woman of creation were now headed toward the Earth. So, dear friends, this is where the real story of humanity begins—a story filled with tests, repentance, mercy, and love. Allah Almighty not only made Adam, peace be upon him, and Eve, peace be upon her, the first couple in the world but…

The first lesson humanity learned was that if you make a mistake, you should repent, because the door to mercy is always open. When Prophet Adam and Eve (peace be upon them) were sent down to Earth, they were separated from each other. Adam was settled on Mount Sarand, and Eve in the area of Juda. Both carried the same pain in their hearts—the regret of disobeying Allah. They spent their days and nights crying, repenting, and praying for Allah’s mercy. This went on for many years until Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, accepted their repentance and said, “O Adam and Eve, I have forgiven you.”

Now you both meet each other. Then, by Allah’s command, they came together in one place. That meeting was so pure and spiritual that it marked the beginning of humanity. After some time, by Allah’s mercy, their children started being born, and thus the journey of humanity continued. Everywhere, life, mercy, and love spread. This was the first story of that journey—a story with mistakes, repentance, and mercy. And Allah proved that whoever sincerely repents, the door to mercy is never closed for them. Hazrat Adam and…

After being separated on earth, life for Hawwa (peace be upon her) began in a whole new setting. Everywhere around them was unfamiliar land, strange air, and unknown trees. But their hearts were heavy with the pain of disobeying Allah. They cried day and night, repented, and hoped for Allah’s mercy, missing each other during the cold nights. The harsh sun and tough ground during the day weighed heavily on their hearts. Still, with patience, they kept turning to Allah. As time passed, a softness and hope grew in their hearts. When Allah accepted their repentance, in their hearts…

They felt happiness and peace. By Allah’s will, they both came together in one place. In that moment of meeting, a spiritual connection was formed. It felt like the very first light of humanity had been kindled on earth. Their eyes held tears, but their hearts were calm. They learned a new lesson in love and respect. Then, by Allah’s mercy, their children began to be born. Each new child became a part of humanity on earth. This was how life began. Humans learned to eat, drink water, live on the land, and live together in harmony. Over time, humans developed relationships, marriage, and children.

And they established social values. They gained life experiences according to Allah’s guidance and commands. After every mistake, the lesson of repentance and turning towards Allah remained intact for humanity. This way, the cycle of life on earth continued. Every moment of love, trial, mercy, and peace became a lesson for humanity. And this was the very story that taught us that no matter how big a mistake is, if a person sincerely repents, Allah’s mercy is always open for them. This was the first lesson humanity learned here on earth and built upon.

Society, knowledge, experience, and human relationships all began. Every moment guided humanity towards progress, trials, and Allah’s mercy. After being separated and then reunited on Earth, Prophet Adam and Eve started new life experiences. Every day brought new challenges for them. The harshness of the land, searching for water and food, cold nights, and the scorching heat—all were new tests for them. But in their hearts, their connection with Allah and the lesson of repentance were strong. They sought Allah’s approval in everything and reflected on their actions together.

They started living life based on trust and love. Gradually, they learned to live off the land—using what the earth produced, growing crops, collecting water, and making space for themselves and future generations. This was the first lesson in humanity. Allah advised them that patience, gratitude, and repentance are the greatest strengths in life. Meanwhile, their family grew, and each new member became part of humanity connected to the land. The children grew up, gained experience, made mistakes, and sincerely repented. This cycle continued like this. Each generation had its own…

In life, I learned lessons about love, trials, peace, and Allah’s mercy. Every aspect of life on earth strengthened my humanity. Society, relationships, children, and knowledge—all are built on these basic experiences. Everyone realized that after making mistakes, true repentance and seeking Allah’s pleasure is the greatest path. In the same way, every moment in life nurtured my humanity, teaching me about Allah’s mercy and justice. This is the story that shows if a person stays close to Allah with patience, gratitude, and repentance, then nothing can…

Challenges couldn’t defeat them. This went on, generation after generation, and with it came the real progress of humanity and the true beginning of life on earth. The early days of life for Prophet Adam and Eve (peace be upon them) were filled with tough struggles and new experiences. Every day, they faced the harshness of the land, extreme weather, and the constant search for water and food. But in their hearts, love for Allah and the lesson of repentance were always there. They sought Allah’s approval in everything they did, helped each other, lived on the land, grew crops, conserved water, and worked hard to meet the basic needs of life.

They kept learning. Meanwhile, their children were born, and each new person became a part of humanity on earth. The kids grew up, gained life experience, made mistakes, and then sincerely repented. Living on earth, building relationships, love, respect, patience, and cooperation—all these lessons were the best training for humanity. Every generation saw the effects of their actions, recognized God’s mercy and justice. They learned from life’s ups and downs that patience and repentance are the greatest strengths. In this way, every moment of life on earth made humanity stronger and more understanding.

Human society, knowledge, experience, connections, and relationships all started from those early days of experience. Every person understood that if they make a mistake, sincerely repenting and turning to Allah is the greatest guidance. In this way, every aspect of life on earth nurtured humanity. It taught lessons of Allah’s mercy and guidance, and this process continued from generation to generation. Humanity always remembered this initial lesson to achieve progress, love, mutual support, and the pleasure of Allah. This is the story that teaches us that…

Living life with patience, gratitude, repentance, and the mercy of Allah is what truly defines a person. This is how real humanity began and progressed on earth. The human race started by the will of Allah. The Quran and Hadith explain that Allah created Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) from clay and breathed life into him. Adam was the first human, and after him, Allah created his wife, Hawwa (Eve), so that the human race could continue. Allah placed Adam and Hawwa in Paradise and…

They were taught how to live their lives. But Satan misled them into disobeying Allah’s command, which is why they were sent down to Earth. After coming to Earth, Adam (peace be upon him) and Eve (peace be upon her) started their life here, and through their sons and daughters, the human race began to spread. The early humans learned to live on Earth following Allah’s rules. They learned the values of hard work, earning a living, family, society, education, and upbringing. Over time, the human population grew. The Quran also points to this fact that Allah…

God made humans superior to animals and other creatures on Earth and entrusted them with cultivating the land, establishing social order, and acquiring knowledge. Similarly, history and religious traditions consider the descendants of Adam and Eve as the beginning of human history. So, the human race started when Allah created them and brought them down from Paradise to Earth, and this process continues to this day. Hope you liked our video.
